Adopters

When you inquire about a dog, the following questions might be helpful:

1. Why are you giving up your dog?

2. Has the dog ever bitten, nipped or 'gone after' anyone?

3. Does it have any health problems? Who is your vet? May I contact him/her?

4. Where did you get the dog? Does it have papers?

5. Does your dog have any training? Is it housebroken? crate trained?

6. Is the dog left alone for long periods? What does it do? Bark? Dig? Chew? Is it an inside or outside dog? Where does it sleep?

7. How does the dog behave with adults, children? Other dogs? Cats?

8. Is your dog mellow? calm? energetic? protective? affectionate?

Harley is a sweet medium-sized female German Shepherd, about a year old. She was found in the beginning of June wandering the streets of downtown Fresno without any identification, and immediately taken to the vet. She has since been spayed and vaccinated.

She has no known medical issues. She has really no training other than working on simple commands, and she is housebroken. She jumps on people when she gets excited but we are working on that also and she is doing much better. If left alone in the house for extended periods of time, she can be destructive to household items. She has also dug a few holes in the yard but does not make it a habit.

She does amazingly well with all other dogs, and has a blast at the dog park. She has done well with children. Unsure about cats as she has not been exposed to them.

Harley needs a home where she has constant and consistent attention, and she is a cuddle bug. She would do well as a family dog somewhere with a large yard and maybe other dogs for company, or with someone who can be very active with her regarding training and exercise for mental stimulation.

I am asking for a $100 adoption fee to help cover costs of spaying/vaccinations. The only reason I need to find her a new home is due to long work hours and no other dogs/people in the household to help give her attention.

Please help me find this sweetheart a good forever home!

Thank you, Moriah
