When you inquire about a dog, the following questions might be helpful:

1. Why are you giving up your dog?

2. Has the dog ever bitten, nipped or 'gone after' anyone?

3. Does it have any health problems? Who is your vet? May I contact him/her?

4. Where did you get the dog? Does it have papers?

5. Does your dog have any training? Is it housebroken? crate trained?

6. Is the dog left alone for long periods? What does it do? Bark? Dig? Chew? Is it an inside or outside dog? Where does it sleep?

7. How does the dog behave with adults, children? Other dogs? Cats?

8. Is your dog mellow? calm? energetic? protective? affectionate?

Brandy is a two year old spayed female Shiloh Shepherd. she is good with other dogs only outside her home environment, such as a dog park. She currently lives with three cats and will chase them if they run but she is always friendly towards them. Brandy is great with children and wheelchair friendly. We adopted her this past March from our local shelter to join our 12-year-old Border Collie, although they initially got along great, they now do not. Brandy is protective and territorial in her own home. This is why she should be an only pet. Brandy is sweet natured, housebroken, knows basic commands and even shake! We visit the dog park, hike or go for walks almost daily. She still needs some leash work and will whine in the car but never digs, barks excessively, chews, escapes or jumps a fence. Brandy is in great health, current on her vaccines, microchipped and to our knowledge never bitten, nipped or “gone after” anyone. While living with us Brandy lives the life of a pampered indoor house dog, as I am a stay at home mom.

Brandy comes with a crate, car seat belt harness, prong collar, favorite toys and food bowl.

Brandy has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia. She is on over the counter vitamins for joints, the vet does not feel she needs any pain meds at this point.
