We are dedicated to the rescue and welfare of German Shepherd Dogs. Our volunteers help foster and adopt dogs to willing homes. Please help us in our efforts, for their sake.
“Every dog has a story, how it ends depends on you...”
Our homeless furry friends are in desperate need of a loving and caring home.
If you cannot adopt, any act of kindness while they wait, will change their lives forever.

Special Covid 19 Announcement

We are still adopting dogs during the COVID-19 epidemic. Our public events have been cancelled, so we are using individual appointments to match families with dogs. Having a dog is a great emotional boost. This is the perfect time to adopt, since you will have lots of time to get to know your dog and set a routine.

We currently have a large number of adoption applications coming in. Consequently, we have modified our adoption process. Click here for more information.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, do it now! You have the time, and we work with you to make sure your fostering time is fun and rewarding. Click here.

Foster Homes Needed    Foster Info

Not all of our rescue Shepherds are lucky enough to go directly into a foster home; some have to start in a kennel. Every rescue dog must be in a foster home before it can be adopted. In a foster home it will experience the love, care, and attention it needs and deserves while it is waiting to be adopted and we will observe the personality of the dog to help place it in the best possible forever home.

YOU can foster a German Shepherd Dog! Our network of rescue volunteers is there to help you with advice, and Rescue pays for the care of the dog including food and authorized veterinary expenses. Won't you consider fostering a German Shepherd who wants a second chance at a happy life? Fostering is a very rewarding experience, not only for you, but for the dogs too!

Spotlight

Beckham

Spotlight Dog

Beckham is a 5 to 6 year-old mostly black male. He is happiest when with his people, and is always ready for a walk or nap while his person works.

Beckham has good house manners, is potty trained, and will sleep in his crate at night (but loves being able to sleep next to his people). He also has a fantastic time when you play fetch with him, though he sometimes forgets he must give the ball back! Beckham responds well to his name and knows how to sit and give high fives. He is also very treat motivated and learns quite quickly.

Beckham loves car rides and will be first in the car when going somewhere. He also loves hanging out in the backyard. He has not been reactive to cats or other small animals in the neighborhood, but does show interest when he sees them. Beckham is a smart dog and quickly adapts to your routine.
